Day 348

Updated: Jun 27, 2019

When my OB/GYN told me I had cervical cancer, I treated myself to the Gilmore Girl box set. I was barely pregnant with Constance and when faced with the recommendation of a termination and cancer treatment. I chose to roll the dice. I thought if it was cancer it might be the only child I was going to have so I wanted to have it. I went forward with the pregnancy. A week later I was informed that the tested cells were actually pre-cancer cells. 9-months later I got to be the mom of Constance. All subsequent cervical exams where blissfully normal.

On the plane back from Belize they had a Gilmore Girl marathon. I silently wept while I watched and missed Constance.
