Thank you to everyone who sent lovely notes of encouragement and support. I’m sharing a few of them here so that you can see that if you or a loved one have struggled with depression or anxiety you aren’t alone.

In addition to the notes of solidarity and support, I was also tickled pink to learn of some of the things readers are doing to reduce the stigma of mental illness. If you’re comfortable doing so, please share your or other’s efforts in the comment section.

No matter what challenges you have on your road, it is good to remember there is always someone else out there. When you’re grieving, your stigmata are on the inside. You are scarred in ways others can’t see. For many people with depression, the experience is similar. Unfortunately, when you feel low, your instinct to push others away and be alone can be like eating your seed corn. Whether you are battling personal demands or calculus, just remember, you are not alone. There is help out there. I am lucky; I have all of you.
